MARION LESTIENNE, PhD
Disturbance ecology and biodiversity
I am an ecologist specializing in vegetation dynamics and disturbance ecology, with a focus on how forest ecosystems respond to disturbances and environmental stressors. My research examines the effects of natural and anthropogenic disturbances (fire, herbivory, agropastoral practices) on plant diversity and ecosystem trajectories. I combine paleoecological data, field experiments, functional trait analyses, and spatial modeling to explore the mechanisms of ecosystem resilience.
